Can I Install a Sled Wrap Myself?

Installation

Most riders install their own wraps in a home garage. Plan for roughly 2 to 4 hours depending on your experience and how much help you have. After one or two installs, most people get it down to about 2.

What You Need

Heat gun (hair dryer works for smaller panels)

Vinyl squeegee

Sharp utility knife or precision blade

Indoor space, room temperature

Our premium vinyl is repositionable during application. Lay a panel down crooked? Peel it back and try again without ruining the material.

Pro Tip

Keep your workspace above 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Cold vinyl is stiff vinyl, and stiff vinyl does not want to conform to curves. If your garage runs cold, a portable space heater pointed at the work area makes a real difference.

We include printed install instructions with every order. Video step-by-step walkthroughs on most newer sleds. If you would rather not do it yourself, most local sign shops or vehicle wrap installers can apply a sled wrap in about an hour for a reasonable labor charge.
