WE ASKED EVERY SLEDDER ON THE PODCAST THIS ONE QUESTION...

IF YOU COULD ONLY RUN 3 AFTERMARKET MODS ON YOUR SLED, WHAT WOULD BE YOUR TOP 3?

If you’re like us, you’re probably somewhat curious what aftermarket mods are the most common. Especially if you recently purchased a brand new snowmobile, or, a new-to-you snowmobile.

So, on each episode of the Sledder Cast Podcast, we ask our guest/s if they could only add 3 mods to their snowmobile, what would they be?

We’ve interviewed professional backcountry snowmobilers, professional snowmobile hill climb racers, owners of snowmobile equipment companies, to name a few, and each have shared with us their top 3 mods.

The only rule we had was that they couldn’t choose a sled wrap as one of their top three snowmobile mods. We figured this was a no-brainer snowmobile mod that they all would have chosen and thus decided to give them the full 3 other options to trick their sleds out. 🙂

We’ve taken all of the responses we got and compiled it up into the top 5 snowmobile mods to consider when upgrading your machine.

TOP 5 MUST-HAVE SNOWMOBILE AFTERMARKET MODS

#5 - Bumpers

Upgrading your bumpers can definitely add a few extra style points as you match them up with your wrap colors, but they also serve a pretty solid safety and protection purpose.

Of course, snowmobiles come with stock bumpers but as we all know, in most cases, they aren’t enough with very minimal protection coverage.

#4 - FINGER THROTTLE

If you know someone who runs a finger throttle, then you already know it can be a game-changer for your snowmobiling experience.

Sure, it might take a little bit of time to get used to, but there are some pretty serious benefits.

Watch the video below to see how the addition of the finger throttle released a ton of shoulder pressure and pain for Levi.

#3 - EXHAUST CAN

Upgrading to an aftermarket snowmobile exhaust system can truly elevate your riding experience to the next level.

Not only does it give your sled a meaner, more aggressive sound, but it also delivers tangible performance benefits.

Aftermarket exhausts are lighter than stock ones, and is one of the easiest and pocket-book friendly ways of cutting weight quickly off your snowmobile.

With a much sleeker design, an aftermarket exhaust can also opens up more space for you to add your hot pot cooker to your machine.

#2 - SUSPENSION

Upgrading to aftermarket snowmobile suspension can transform your riding experience from ordinary to extraordinary no doubt.

These upgrades allow you to fine-tune your sled’s suspension to perfection. With improved shock absorption and reduced body roll, you’ll feel more confident pushing your snowmobile to its limits.

Here’s a short video clip of Jeremy Hanke mentioning why he prefers an aftermarket calibrated shock.

#1 - BARS / COCKPIT SETUP

Getting your cockpit dialed in was the #1 most mentioned snowmobile mod upgrade from season 1 of the Sledder Cast podcast.

With adjustable handlebars, you can fine-tune the height, width, and angle to perfectly suit your riding style and body mechanics, reducing fatigue and improving ergonomics.

Duncan lee shares how he likes his cockpit setup in the video below:
